The family home gets a face-lift just in time for house guests.
Our brief was to get the house looking smart in time for our clients to help celebrate their daughter’s wedding. Attention was directed at revitalising the kitchen and re-purposing an under-utilised dining room into a gentlemen’s retreat, complete with record player and footy jumpers.
The kitchen needed to be straightforward, functional and easy to maintain, but without feeling cold. A hard-wearing but surprisingly characterful material was used throughout, for doors and bench-tops alike, and the galley space was re-organised around a social island.
The boys’ bar is made with the same material & details and removing an existing wall visually links the new elements within the original house.
Phase 2 will include a new pergola and pool landscaping to amalgamate the indoor-outdoor entertaining spaces.
